How to File for Homestead Exemption in Georgia

EXEMPTION AROUND

METRO ATLANTA

Below are links to the different Counties Tax Departments with information on how to file for your Homestead Exemption. 
 
Also, keep in mind if you live inside the city limits - you may be eligible to file for credit there as well.
 
If you are a Senior you may qualify for a Senior exemption and the site below can help you with information on the requirements and how to apply. There are also depending on your county discounts for Veterans or if you have a disability.
 
By now you should have received a copy of your recorded warranty deed from the county. 
Keep in mind also that if you made any changes to how the title is held on your home that your Homestead Exemption may have dropped off and you would need to apply again.
